What Bookmark is

Bookmark is a personal library for the links, notes, photos, videos and documents you choose to save. It is made by Ai Opportunity. Your saves live on your device.

What stays on your device

Your saves, notes, tags, shelves, reminders and settings are stored on your device. We don't sell your data, show ads, or track you across other apps or websites.

AI features, only with your permission

If you allow it, Bookmark sends what you save (the link, the page title and text, your note, a photo, a cover picture or a short video clip) through our server to Google's Gemini service, so it can write a name, a short summary and tags for that save.

When you search in plain words (three words or more), Bookmark sends your search and the titles, summaries, notes and tags of your saves the same way, so the AI can find the match. Short keyword searches happen on your device and send nothing.

Our server passes each request on and doesn't keep its content. It keeps only a count of AI use and its cost per subscriber, to apply fair-use limits. You can turn AI off at any time in the app's privacy settings, and Bookmark keeps working without it. Google processes this data under its own terms.

Link previews and cover pictures

To show a preview, your device fetches the page you saved directly from that website, like opening it in a browser. For some sites (such as YouTube, Vimeo, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, Amazon and X), the link address, and nothing else, is sent to that site's public preview service or to a link-preview service (microlink.io, or fxtwitter for X posts) to fetch the cover picture.

Your account (optional)

You can use Bookmark without an account. If you sign in with Apple, Google or an email link, we store your sign-in identifier and email address with our authentication provider, Supabase, only to keep you signed in.

Purchases

Subscriptions are handled by Apple on iPhone and by Google Play on Android. We never see your payment details. To confirm a subscription before running AI, the iPhone app sends Apple's signed proof of your subscription to our server; the Android app sends an anonymous customer identifier that our server checks with RevenueCat, the service that manages Android subscriptions.

Earlier launch list

If you signed up for our launch list on this website before the app went live, we keep your email address only to send you launch news. You can ask us to remove it at any time.

Notifications, camera and microphone

Reminders use notifications you allow. The camera is used only when you choose to take a picture. The microphone is used only while you hold the mic to search by voice.

Your choices and deleting your data

You can export your library at any time: on iPhone from Profile → Privacy and data, on Android from Settings → Export everything. You can also withdraw AI permission at any time.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account and data in the app, or by email. Step-by-step instructions are on Delete your account.

Retention

Saves stay on your device until you delete them. Items in Recently deleted are removed after 30 days. Account data is deleted when you delete your account.
