Best Pocket Alternatives for Links and Videos

Updated November 2026 · By the Bookmark team

We make Bookmark, so we are not neutral. We have tried to be fair, and Bookmark is not out yet, so the apps below are the ones you can use today.

Mozilla shut down Pocket in July 2025, and its data export window closed in October 2025. If you relied on it, the right replacement depends on what you really used it for.

If you mainly read articles

Instapaper is the closest thing to classic Pocket. It has been around since 2008 and keeps the focus on clean reading.

Readwise Reader suits heavy readers who want highlights and notes across articles, newsletters and PDFs. It does a lot, so there is more to learn.

If you mainly collect links

Raindrop.io is a strong all-round bookmark manager with apps and browser extensions on most platforms, plus a free plan with unlimited bookmarks. It is a good fit if you like collections and tags. Read our Bookmark vs Raindrop comparison.

If you want AI to do the sorting

mymind sorts your saves automatically, with a visual look and a strong focus on privacy. There is no free plan listed on its pricing page. Read our Bookmark vs mymind comparison.

If you save more than articles

Pocket was built around reading on the web. Many of us now save in other ways: reels, screenshots, PDFs and photos of receipts. This is the gap we are building Bookmark for. It is phone-first, saves from any app through the share sheet, and lets you search in your own words.

How to choose
